I have added this early photo of Anais whose dairies were an inspiration for me when I used to write many a long year ago.

For me, just to make this little step in computer technology is something!

No moustache or other alterations- just transfering the picture.

With help I have got this far!!! -

Next time I will try to remember to 'right' click- that is the secret to getting started.

This is not getting any easier!!!!!

Think I failed "flickr 101 or 2.0. "- but then neither did I find it interesting, so maybe that is why.
However I have gleaned a vague knowledge of what it is about and also what "rss" is about.
And I can see that "rss" does have possibilities.
So far though I have only bookmarked a few sites that seemed interesting - but have proved rather vacuous - or maybe I am becoming less tolerant of the information overload that the 21st century seems so absorbed with.
I do have a great thirst for information , however I am becoming more discriminate .
Still, if I can learn to add a few sites that really interest me, "rss' may be worthwhile. so I have not given up yet!

I have struggled with this site and am not getting far! - I have established yet another user name - and tried to save a few photos from the National Library Women and Dance selection.
When I revisit this site where I found the photos, there is a suggestion that I have saved them somewhere , but where!!?

technology

I hate it!! - technology that is-- anyway, for the moment, I think I am on top of this blog thing....yes, I know pride comes before the fall and all that.......

And I often think that we, that is, the human race, would be just as content if we were still living in caves - of course , somewhere warm- Kakadu, or Broome for instance.
If we had never experienced technology , or any other modern comforts, what would we miss?.
In fact, I am tempting myself to head up there now, strewing possessions as I flee ( apart from my books, of course!)
However this being 2007, I have at last learnt to use, and quite like my mobile phone and I leave it open for business most of the time - Mind you, very rarely does it ring - and when it does it quite startles me!
It is fun, though, to be able to text a friend who is working in a dark and dingy office when the temperature is 30degrees, to report that I am in the middle of a beautiful river in my kayak!
And I have given advice to my son in the city, from half way up a mountain; and rung friends to check a meeting place/time.
So I have learnt to love my mobile phone.

And, yes, I would be quite bereft without Internet, especially email!

week 1

All I know is that I know nothing about computers !!! - I am not on their wavelength at all.

This has been such an effort to get into this page - the first time I found this, I foolishly backtracked to see if I could do it again - no go.

Only by a very devious route of trying to re-enrol, could I reach here again and now I am fearful of leaving as I may not get back in again!!!

Also, on my blog a silly question appeared and now I will have to try to find out how to eliminate it, as I do not want my blog to be tainted!

Not that I care about blogs - mine or other peoples'. I just want to learn stay up to date with computers and what they have to offer.
